About Vero

Vero means truth.

True to you.

We named the clinic Vero because that's the standard we hold ourselves to — honest answers, real labs, and care that actually fits the person in front of us. Hormone, weight, and aesthetic care should be evidence-based and personalized, not a service menu and a guess. We're a small practice by design, and we'd rather know your name and your numbers than book you in fifteen-minute slots.

FOUNDER

Erica Chevalier, NP

Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner. Background in emergency and cardiology care.

Paramedic

Started in pre-hospital emergency medicine. Learned to assess fast, triage harder, and care about people in the worst moments of their day.

Emergency Room Nurse

ER nursing. High-acuity, high-volume, every shift different. Learned to read labs, run protocols, and trust your clinical reasoning.

Emergency Nurse Practitioner

Diagnosed and treated independently in the ER. The kind of role that teaches you to make decisions with imperfect information — and to know when you actually need more.

Cardiology Nurse Practitioner

Current full-time role at the hospital. Cardiology gives you a deep respect for labs, long-term protocols, and how interconnected hormones, metabolism, and cardiovascular health really are.

WHY VERO EXISTS

We started Vero because we kept seeing the gap.

The wellness industry promises a lot. The medical industry rushes you. Aesthetics clinics upsell. Most clients we'd worked with — in the ER, in cardiology, in two prior med spas — were stuck between those three options and getting their actual question answered by none of them.

So we built Vero on three things we believe should be standard, but somehow aren't:

Real labs when they matter.

Hormone clients get a comprehensive panel before we treat — through LabCorp on your insurance, so usually minimal cost. Weight clients can start at their first visit if they're a good candidate. We don't run extra labs to pad the bill.

Honest answers, not upsells.

If something isn't right for you, we'll tell you. No one needs Botox. We love it because it makes us feel good — but only if it's actually the right call.

Small, by design.

We'd rather know our clients' names and follow them carefully than be the busiest clinic in the Capital District. Volume is the enemy of care.

HOW WE PRACTICE

The "we" is on purpose.

Vero is built to outlast its founder. Erica started the clinic, but Vero is the brand — and as we grow, you'll meet other clinicians and aestheticians here who hold the same standard. The "we" you see throughout this site isn't a writing style; it's the practice we're building.

Right now, that means Erica seeing every client herself. Soon, it'll mean a small team of clinicians and aestheticians chosen carefully — for both their skills and how they treat people. We chose neutral, gender-inclusive design on purpose so that as Vero grows, every client still feels at home walking through the door.

The scene takes place in a well-lit room with large windows and green curtains. There is a potted plant and a mirror on the wall. Medical tools and supplies, including syringes and bottles, are laid out on a small table.

We chose this brand because Vero is bigger than any one of us. Healthcare done well isn't a personality. It's a practice.
